Carson Koester is a wing mechanic for ECR (Ed Carpenter Racing) in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. We bumped into Carson at the Tech Inspection area at the 2026 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, where he had a rolling cart of wings getting ready to be inspected before the race. Koester was nice enough to answer some questions about how he got involved in racing, what his roles and responsibilities are, and some of the behind-the-scenes stories on how everything comes together in preparation for going racing.
