Watkins Glen International is a permanent road course in Watkins Glen, New York, set in the Finger Lakes region of the state. Often called "The Glen," it is one of the most storied racing circuits in North America, tracing its origins to street races run through the village in 1948 before the dedicated track opened in 1956. The current configuration measures 3.45 miles over 11 turns of fast, flowing asphalt.

The layout is celebrated for its high-speed character and demanding rhythm. Drivers thread the long main straight into Turn 1, attack the uphill Esses, and carry big speed through the sweeping Boot section, all of which reward commitment, precision, and bravery. Elevation changes and quick direction switches make it a true test of car control and one of the most rewarding circuits a driver can learn.

The Glen has hosted Formula 1, the NASCAR Cup Series, and the IMSA SportsCar Championship, including the famed Six Hours of Watkins Glen endurance race. For aspiring racers and enthusiasts, the track combines genuine motorsport heritage with a layout that builds the high-speed skills, racecraft, and confidence that translate directly to competition.
