Summit Point Motorsports Park is a road racing complex in Summit Point, West Virginia, set in the rolling countryside of the eastern panhandle within easy reach of the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metro areas. Owned and operated by Bill Scott Racing, the facility opened in October 1969 and was known as Summit Point Raceway until 2003. It is one of the oldest continuously operating road courses on the East Coast and a fixture of amateur and club motorsport in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The park is best known for its 2.0-mile, 10-turn Main Circuit, a fast and flowing layout that rewards momentum, precise lines, and confident car control. The complex also includes the shorter Jefferson Circuit and the technical, multi-configuration Shenandoah Circuit, giving the venue three distinct courses under one roof. Over the decades it has hosted national and regional competition including the Atlantic Championship, the 12 Hours at the Point endurance race, Formula D, IMSA GT, Can-Am, and Trans-Am.
For drivers, Summit Point matters as both a proving ground and a classroom. Its blend of high-speed sweepers and demanding braking zones makes it an ideal place to build car-control skills, learn racecraft, and earn competition experience. With multiple track configurations and a long heritage of driver education, it remains one of the premier destinations for high-performance driving and racing instruction on the Atlantic seaboard.
