Sepang International Circuit is Malaysia's premier motorsport venue, located in Sepang, Selangor, roughly 45 km south of Kuala Lumpur and adjacent to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Designed by renowned circuit architect Hermann Tilke and opened in March 1999, the 3.444 mile (5.543 km) Grand Prix layout features 15 turns and is normally run clockwise. It was one of the first of the modern Tilke-designed Grand Prix circuits and quickly became a benchmark for new-generation track design across the world.

The circuit is known for its sweeping corners, wide straights, and a distinctive layout in which a long back straight is separated from the pit straight by a tight final hairpin, rewarding both top-end speed and heavy braking. Two extra-wide combined straight-and-corner complexes give drivers genuine overtaking opportunities, while the tropical heat and frequent afternoon storms make tire management and car setup a constant challenge. These traits make Sepang an outstanding teaching circuit for car control, racing lines, and managing grip in changing conditions.

Sepang hosted the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix from 1999 to 2017 and remains the home of the Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix, alongside GT World Challenge Asia, the Asia Road Racing Championship, the TCR Asia Tour, the Sepang 1000 km, and Asian Le Mans events. As a FIA Grade 1 facility with a deep racing pedigree, it is a destination track for drivers looking to test their skills on a world-class international circuit.
