GingerMan Raceway is one of the circuits FastLane can run a private program at on request. It is not a FastLane base of operation. Our home track is Buttonwillow Raceway Park , where most days run.
GingerMan Raceway is a road racing circuit located just east of South Haven in southwest Michigan, set on roughly 330 acres in Van Buren County. Built in 1995 and opened for its first full season in 1996, the track was designed by noted circuit architect Alan Wilson specifically as a club racing course, and it remains one of the busiest amateur and track day venues in the Midwest.
The 2.21 mile layout is purpose built for driver safety. Wilson laid out the circuit with generous, clear runoff areas and wide, smooth pavement to reduce the risk of costly vehicle damage, an approach that earned GingerMan the Safe Track Award from Victory Lane Magazine. A 2009 to 2010 off season project added 1,770 feet of new pavement to the Turn 10 complex, extending the lap and giving the course its current configuration. The runoff design even allows the circuit to be run in the reverse direction.
For drivers, GingerMan matters because it offers a flowing, forgiving layout that is ideal for learning car control and building confidence without the high penalty for mistakes found at tighter tracks. That character has made it a favorite for SCCA club racing, sports car and motorcycle events, and high performance driving schools. Since 2014 it has also hosted the popular Gridlife festival, blending grassroots time attack, racing, and music into one of the venue's signature weekends.
