Safety: Parent-teen contract
A contract is a great way to encourage communication... plain and simple.
Research from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety says that parents can significantly reduce the likelihood of irresponsible behaviors that could ultimately lead to auto crashes when they clearly establish expectations of their teens and then follow through on consequences should those expectations be breached. Parents should take full charge of their teen's driver training, providing continuous coaching and monitoring. Lastly, don't underestimate the influence you have on your teens, even with your younger children, by setting an good example.
